PharmaQest Pty Ltd is a private company focussed on drug development, and on drug delivery platforms that overcome pharmacokinetic and toxicokinetic issues. PharmaQest was spun out of the University of South Australia in 2002.
The Company’s lead program is a novel topical gel for the chemoprevention of non-melanoma skin cancer (NMSC). $2.5m of equity funding was secured in 2004, and the Company received an Australian Government Commercial Ready Grant in 2006, to develop its lead program. PharmaQest has exclusive rights to patents protecting its Intellectual Property, with a granted patent in Australia (Appl. No.2003237034) and South Africa (Appl. No. 2004/6683). Examination in other territories (including the US, EU and Asia) is progressing (International Publication number WO 03061713).
PharmaQest has expertise in preclinical and clinical drug development, and regulatory applications. The Company’s Board, senior management and US adviser network have international licensing experience.
